Whether you are part of a company, church, volunteer organization, family business, or even a family; there are some universal principles to help you get from where you are to where you want to be. Of course, you must first desire to go somewhere. If you are satisfied with where you are as a company, church, organization or family, then feel free to disregard everything in this blog.

One thing I have learned in being a part of businesses, ministries, churches, numerous volunteer organizations, and a family is that they ALL work better when they work together. In all of these areas, we must have unity in moving toward a common goal or purpose. Together is better. The more you can grow in unity with your teammates, the more successful everyone will be.
Each team member must enjoy who they work with and the work they do. They must learn how each person complements each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The better a team complements each other as they move toward a common goal, the more likely they are to reach that goal.
A team works better together when they share a clear vision, core values, and clearly communicated goals.
The ingredients of a successful team:
- Unity
- Joy
- Complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses
- Clear vision
- Core values
- Clearly communicated goals
Any team that is going to be successful in getting from where they are to where they want to be will need to have these six core ingredients.
