Several years ago my wife and I attended a series of classes at our church. During that last class, the teacher looked at us and said, “You know what you have to do now right?” We looked at each other baffled and then looked back at him and asked, “No, what?”
In that moment, he looked us right in the eye and gave us some of the best advice ever.
“Sometin”.
That was it. “Sometin”. That is great advice for how to get from where you are to where you want to be. Just get started. Zig Ziglar says, “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly until you learn to do it well.
I do not know where this originated but it is great advice, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” Just get started. Those New Years Resolutions, goals, plans, whatever you want to call them…Just get started…
Yet, that is often how we live our lives. We wait for everything to be just right before we move. Go ahead and move. Make mistakes, learn from them, and keep going.
