In John 15:16, Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you.” The fact Jesus chose me makes me feel ecstatically accepted. Jesus chose me! With all my hang-ups and shortcomings, he chose me!!
gymI guess I do not think about that often enough. It is kind of like being lined up in gym class to be chosen for a team and Jesus chose me. Not because I was the only one left, he specifically brought me to the game just so he could choose me.

Coach CalWow! That has to make you feel special. Just like John Calipari (or any other college coach that recruits players) chooses to recruit specific players for the University of Kentucky, Jesus has specifically chosen me.

I am on his team and he is my coach. We may lose a game from time to time (because of my play) but we are destined to win the championship (because of His leadership). That is a March Madness that never ends.

Can you tell I am a big basketball fan and March is my favorite month of the year? As I thought about John 15:16 this blog came to mind. You are chosen by Jesus. Will you accept that invitation?

Jesus wants to be our Life Coach. Jesus himself said in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (NIV). The King James Version says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The Message puts it this way, “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”

john 1010How does it make you feel knowing that Jesus specifically chose you?
