Successful people take action. People who reach their God-given potential take action. Not only do they take action they take focused action and they make corrections along the way.
There is a purpose behind every action they take. When that action no longer serves the purpose then they adjust the action to better serve the purpose.
Remember this acronym, FACE:
Focus: People who reach their God-given potential are focused. They have a specific idea of what they want to accomplish and they move in that direction.
Action: They take action! They are not ones to sit around and wonder what they should do next. They are people who are consistently getting up and going to work toward their God-given purpose.
Correction: They take notice of what is working and what’s not and they make adjustments accordingly. These people know how to evaluate whether their actions are taking them closer to their God-given potential or farther away.
Example: One of the best ways to know what to do to reach your God-given potential is to find someone who is in a similar place to where you want to be and find out what they did to get there. Then do the same thing. This will speed up your process so you do not have to make all the mistakes yourself. You can learn from the mistakes of others.
Ask yourself these 4 questions as you journey toward your God-given potential:
- What is God wanting me to accomplish? What is my God-given purpose?
- What action do I need to take immediately to move me closer to that purpose or end?
- What adjustments do I need to make to better serve my purpose?
- Who is where I want to be and what can I learn from them
